The short version: this site runs anonymous analytics, has no accounts, sells nothing, and shows no ads.
jawadhassan.dev is a personal portfolio and blog operated by Jawad Hassan, a freelance software developer based in Lahore, Pakistan. For any privacy question, or to request deletion of anything covered below, email jawadmirza606@gmail.com.
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages get read. GA4 sets cookies and processes data such as your approximate location (derived from IP, which GA4 does not store), device and browser type, referring site, and the pages you visit. I use it in aggregate only — I do not attempt to identify individual visitors, and I do not enable Google Signals, advertising features, or remarketing.
Google acts as a data processor for this. Their handling is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out entirely with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, or by blocking analytics scripts in your browser or an extension. Nothing on this site breaks if you do.
The site is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard server request logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) as a normal part of serving traffic. Vercel also provides the coarse country signal this site uses to vary a couple of links. See the Vercel Privacy Policy.

Fonts are self-hosted through Next.js at build time, so no requests go to Google Fonts while you browse.
If you email me or book a call, I keep that correspondence as long as it is professionally useful — typically for the duration of a project plus a reasonable period afterwards. I do not add you to any mailing list. Ask me to delete it and I will.
If you are in the UK, EU, or another jurisdiction with equivalent law, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete personal data I hold about you, and to object to processing. In practice that means analytics data (which is anonymous and aggregated, and which you can opt out of at any time) and any email correspondence. If this policy changes materially, the updated version replaces this page. There is no mailing list to notify, so the page itself is the record.
